John Pierce Centre (JPC)

Since mid-2024, JoCare has been proud to partner with the John Pierce Centre (JPC), supporting Deaf and hard of hearing community members through connection, inclusion, and accessible community support.

Through this partnership, JoCare provides training and ongoing support to volunteers, while JPC assists in thoughtfully connecting volunteers with members of the Deaf community who would benefit from regular companionship and social connection. Together, we aim to reduce loneliness and isolation through meaningful and culturally respectful volunteer matches.

If you speak Auslan and are interested in volunteering with JoCare, we would love to hear from you.

Blind Sports and Recreation Victoria

JoCare is proud to be working with Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria to support people who are blind or have low vision to remain socially connected and engaged within their community.

Through volunteer visiting and companionship, this partnership helps foster inclusion, confidence, and meaningful human connection for those experiencing loneliness or isolation.

If you have an interest in supporting people who are blind or have low vision, we would love to hear from you.

Our Lady of the Assumption (OLA)

JoCare values its ongoing connection with Our Lady of the Assumption Parish and wider community members. Through shared community values and local support, OLA plays an important role in helping foster connection, compassion, and care for those experiencing loneliness and isolation within the Cheltenham area and surrounds.

If you would like to volunteer and visit someone within this community, please feel free to reach out.
